Meet Nurettin

Nurettin Caliskan is a Board Member and President of External Relations at the Turkish Shipbuilders Association (GISBIR), dedicated to strengthening Türkiye’s position in the global ship and yacht building industries. A Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, he graduated from Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) in 1987 and later earned an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in 1995, expanding his expertise in business and finance. As the Founder and Managing Director of Neva Marine and Neva Composite Technologies, he leads both companies in developing yacht equipment, advanced composite materials and innovative solutions for the marine, energy, automotive, aerospace, and defense sectors. Established in New York in 1990, Neva Marine relocated its headquarters to Türkiye in 2004, expanding its global operations. At GISBIR, Caliskan actively promotes Türkiye’s ship and yacht building industry on the international stage, fostering collaborations, strengthening global competitiveness, and representing the sector at key industry events.
