Winter in Sint Maarten

By Norina Edelman, CEO, International Marine Management

St. Maarten remains a top yachting hub in the Caribbean, thanks to its prime location near guest destinations St. Barths, St. Kitts, and Anguilla. This season kicked off with a bang—especially compared to last year’s slow start. St. Barths saw record-breaking yacht numbers for the world-famous New Years celebration. Immediately following the holiday frenzy, St. Maarten’s marinas filled with yachts awaiting their next trip. The famous Crew New Year’s Eve Party took place on 9th of January, featuring fireworks over Simpson Bay Lagoon. With strong charter activity and bookings through Easter, the Caribbean yachting season is set to finish strong.
