Mike Yorston, of AERE’ Marine Group is as comfortable Sailing as he is Fishing and Powerboating. He started boat building in 1975, building Semi Custom Classic Sailboats, assisted naval architects, worked in shipyards, managed marinas, managed large box retail stores and has traveled the world extensively catering to yachts. Mike’s well known in the industry for his knowledge and commitment which he has brought to many Community Boating activities such as Regattas, Fishing tournaments, Whale Boat Rowing and Powerboat Racing. Presently, as Director of Sales for Aere’, his job consists of nurturing and supporting his dealer network, new product development and attending Charter and Yacht Show around the world. Mike’s been in the Marine Business 50 years.
Mike’s served in many leadership roles in the industry, Working for West Marine as a Store Manager and Northeast Rep for Their Mega Yacht Division for approx. 14 years Actively involved in the company’s growth from 30 to 300 stores.
