Kia Orana, I’m Katrina Matheson, and I have been with Maritime Cook Islands for 17 years. Throughout my journey within the organization, I have held diverse and pivotal roles, contributing to its success and growth.

My career at Maritime Cook Islands began as the Bunkers & NWRC Manager, I then transitioned to the position of fleet manager for yachts, immersing myself in the intricacies of yacht operations, management, and compliance. This experience provided me with in-depth knowledge and expertise in ensuring the smooth functioning of yacht fleets.

Currently, I am actively engaged in marketing and event management, utilizing my keen eye for identifying opportunities and forging strategic partnerships to drive growth within the yacht market. By leveraging my expertise in these areas, I contribute to the expansion and reputation of Maritime Cook Islands in the maritime industry.

I am the CEO of the Cook Islands Yacht Squadron for 15 years. In this role, I oversee the yacht squadron’s operations, ensuring its seamless functioning and representing the interests of the Cook Islands in the global yachting community.

Beyond my professional endeavours, I am an advocate for Women in Maritime and currently serve as the focal point for the Cook Islands Women in Maritime Association (CIWIMA). Additionally, I hold the position of Vice President for Sailing Cook Islands, actively contributing to the development and promotion of sailing in the region. I am also honoured to be on the board for Autism Cook Islands, working towards enhancing support and understanding for individuals with autism.

I am passionate about driving growth, fostering partnerships, and advocating for important causes within the maritime sector.
