Modern Recreational Technologies, the parent company of Pettit Paint and ValvTect, has hired JP Shipman as Superyacht Business Development Manager. Shipman will be responsible for identifying and securing opportunities in the superyacht and commercial segments.
“JP is an avid yachtsman with over three-plus decades of experience in marina operations, yacht brokerage, charter, delivery, security, management and crew services,” Tom Maellaro, MRT Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Acquisitions, said in a statement. “He has represented many clients acquiring yachts around the world and is equally adept at assisting yacht owners with complex refits or conversions.”
Shipman has worked with the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard and the Royal Navy with maritime projects and acquisitions. He also served on the board of directors for the International Superyacht Society.
