I am Capt. Jead Advincula, a licensed Master Mariner Unlimited with professional experience both in commercial shipping and the superyacht industry. I’ve served as Chief Officer and Relief Captain on various large yachts, including M/Y Attessa (68.8m) and M/Y Le Grand Bleu (114m).
In 2017, I founded Superyacht Academy in Asia and the Pacific Corp. (SAAP), based in Cebu, Philippines. The academy is focused on training aspiring superyacht crew through internationally recognized courses and hands-on programs, particularly under the International Yacht Training (IYT) system. My aim has always been to support high-quality, safety-focused training and help bridge opportunities for emerging crew in the region.
Alongside my role in education, I’m also actively involved in marine consultancy and surveys through JA Marine Services, and I hold memberships in organizations including The Nautical Institute, IMarEST, SOMWS, IAMCS, and MTS. I remain passionate about professional development, crew standards, and connecting with the global yachting community.
