Eric Rahn brings more than four decades of specialized insurance and risk-management experience to the global maritime industry, with deep expertise spanning cruise lines and commercial marine operations. His maritime career began at just 18 years old working aboard cruise ships, where he gained a hands-on understanding of vessel operations, crew dynamics, and the unique challenges faced at sea.
Since then, he has worked across nearly every sector of the industry—spanning international shipbuilding, shipyard operations and risk, concessionaires, flying crews, setup/delivery teams, and large-scale passenger ship management. This breadth of experience gives him a rare, 360-degree view of the risks, MLC 2006 compliance obligations, and operational realities affecting today’s global seafarer workforce.
Today, Eric works closely with marine brokers, operators, crewing/manning agencies and global insurers to build comprehensive crew-care strategies that help organizations reduce exposure, protect their people, and elevate safety standards across the maritime sector.
