Engel-Jan de Boer is Global Yacht Segment Manager at Lloyd’s Register, responsible for the strategic development of LR’s worldwide yacht business. Since joining LR in 1996, he has held a range of technical, operational and commercial leadership roles. Today, he works with owners, builders, management companies and regulators to advance safety, sustainability and innovation across the superyacht sector, helping shape the future of safer, more sustainable and smarter yachts. Engel is Chairman of the Yacht Safety & Environmental Consortium (YSEC) and an active contributor to international industry initiatives and forums.
