I worked in the yachting industry for 12 years aboard private and charter yachts ranging from 30-70 meters. I spent the first six years working my way up to Chief Stewardess and spent the last six years as Chef after completing a culinary program through the New England Culinary Institute.

When I made the decision to retire and work shoreside in 2020, I reached out to MGBW- a shipyard that I had visited many times on multiple vessels – and heard that the Dockmaster position was available. I jumped at the opportunity and am so glad I did. I love continuing to work within the maritime industry but from a land-based position.

As Dockmaster at Fifth Avenue Landing, I oversee marina operations, events and marketing and I also manage The Good Stew program for MGBW. The Good Stew is a complimentary concierge service that assists crew in seeking resources, hosting events and providing crew placement. The program also provides specialty items such as crew uniforms and interior products like Miele and Kanberra for purchase.

I am also overseeing the development and expansion of Marine Group Global Services (MGGS). Through MGGS we are now offering agent services to visiting vessels and can assist with shoreside support such as vessel entry and clearance into San Diego, bunkering and provisioning.

I look forward to cultivating relationships within both the San Diego maritime community and the greater yachting community at large. I was raised here, this is my hometown, and I am excited to help expand the Pacific Coast’s yachting scene and look forward to assisting captains and crew in the years to come.
