Andréa Sinacola is the founding partner and principal of SINACOLAW, a Miami-based superyacht and maritime law firm. Her practice draws upon her lifetime of boating on Lake Michigan and more than a decade of cross-jurisdictional legal experience. Her distinctive dual practice in transactional law and litigation allow her to anticipate challenges from both sides and provide clients with comprehensive, commercially informed counsel. Ms. Sinacola flows between practice areas managing transatlantic transactions and cross-border litigation and has developed particular fluency in representing clients from the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, in matters requiring U.S-based representation and expertise. Her work is defined by pragmatism, responsiveness, clarity, and confidence. Her instincts are sharply honed to provide a full scope approach to the challenges her clients face and hire her to solve.
Her practice includes representing ultra-high-net-worth buyers and sellers in the acquisition and sale of superyachts; contract drafting, review, and negotiation for brokered, custom, and new-build vessels; corporate structuring; vessel registration and flagging guidance; charter and ongoing post-sale legal compliance following acquisition. She serves as outside general counsel to vessel-owning entities, brokerages, distributors, shipyards/manufacturers (U.S. and abroad), advising on the legal and regulatory dimensions of their businesses. She counsels clients on all aspects of vessel warranties, including drafting and interpretation, claim resolution, enforcement or defense against asserted warranty obligations. Additional practice areas include the formation of commercial agreements involving vessel-line development and entry into or expansion across domestic and international markets. Her litigation practice includes disputes involving breach of contract, interpretation and enforcement; warranty claims; misrepresentation, fraud, unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty, and the recovery of misappropriated funds, vessels, deposits, and other maritime assets.
Ms. Sinacola regularly serves as local counsel for international attorneys on matters involving U.S. law, U.S.-based transactions, litigation, and domestic clientele. She is a trusted referral for many highly credentialed superyacht captains, yacht managers, brokers, and financiers. Ms. Sinacola also serves as Florida Of Counsel to the Lochner Law Firm, a maritime firm based in Maryland.
