Vincenzo Poerio

Vincenzo Poerio, Chief Executive Officer of the Italian superyacht shipyard Tankoa Yachts, is one of the leading figures in the yachting industry. From a young age, he decided that the sea would be his future—so much so that he first completed his advanced studies at Nautical Institute of Naples, then embarked as a deck officer before going on to earn a degree in naval engineering with honors at the University of Naples. After a brief military experience at the Naval Academy of Livorno, he began working as a researcher at Cetena in Genoa and subsequently for several shipyards, including Fincantieri, where he held high level positions in the technical area, and Benetti, that he joined in 1994 as General Manager and then CEO, significantly contributing to its growth as a leader in the yachting industry. In 2020, he was appointed as CEO of Tankoa Yachts, a “boutique shipyard”, specializing in building custom superyachts over 45 M, with the mission to rank it among the world superyacht builders’ top players.
