Victor Caminada has worked in the superyacht industry throughout his professional career, including experience in brokerage, new construction of both sail and motor yachts, and refit projects. He has worked and lived in Germany, Spain, the UK, and the Netherlands, giving him a broad understanding of different cultures and client markets. Combining technical and commercial know-how, his career has always focused on international sales, marketing, and building strong professional relationships across the sector.
He spent 18 years at Damen Yachting as part of the Leadership Team, leading global marketing for the Amels Limited Editions, Yacht Support, and SeaXplorer ranges, contributing to product development, and helping drive the yard’s strategic growth and worldwide brand positioning.
Since 2024, Victor has been representing Hodgdon Tenders in Europe, based in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Hodgdon is a 209-year-old, family-owned yard in Maine, known for building high-end semi- and full-custom tenders.
Victor holds engineering and business degrees, a combination that helps him bridge the technical and commercial sides of yacht projects. He enjoys working where design, engineering, and client expectations come together.
He believes the superyacht industry has a strong future, but only if the next generation is encouraged and trained to join it. Bringing in new talent—engineers, craftsmen, technicians, designers, and crew—is essential for the sector’s continued growth. For that reason, he would like to contribute to the ISS Education Committee, supporting practical and accessible initiatives that help young people discover the industry and understand the career opportunities it offers.
