D.J. Kiernan is a professional & personal development coach, mentor, and consultant. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. After attending college in New York and Switzerland, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he lived for two decades, except for two years living in Monte-Carlo, Monaco and Vallauris, France. In 2024 he began splitting his time between Dallas and Fort Lauderdale.
Before becoming a coach and consultant, D.J. was the U.S. Commercial Director for the International Yacht Company (IYC), where he managed a team of sales and charter consultants and focused on creating opportunities for IYC and delivering exceptional results for clients. He has also held key positions at Feadship, Camper & Nicholsons, and Merle Wood & Associates.
Currently, D.J. is working with Denison Yachting, Boathouse Auctions, and YATCO through his coaching and consulting firm, Connect K3.
He is the founder and past president of Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY) and a member of the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA).
D.J. holds an undergraduate degree from Niagara University with concentrations in Tourism Marketing and International Studies. He is currently completing a master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Development at The University of Texas at Dallas, where he just finished an Academic Certificate in Executive & Professional Coaching and has begun the Organizational Consulting program.
