Andrew (Andy) Stephens is a highly regarded leader with over 25 years of senior management and executive experience in the international marine and superyacht sectors.
Since 2010, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of VETUS-Maxwell APAC (Brisbane) and Maxwell Marine International (Auckland), leading a multinational team of more than 30 professionals across design, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and distribution.
Under his leadership, the combined VETUS (APAC) and MAXWELL brands have strengthened their reputation as premium suppliers of anchoring systems, engine-room equipment, and deck gear to the global superyacht, leisure, and commercial marine markets.
Previously, as General Manager of Maxwell Marine Australia, he successfully navigated the company through the Global Financial Crisis, achieving significant market share growth while reducing costs, rebranding the business, building a new distribution network, and relocating to larger facilities. Earlier roles include Sales & Marketing Manager for Bellingham Marine (New Zealand & Pacific) and key development and operational leadership positions at two of Thailand’s landmark facilities: Royal Phuket Marina—Thailand’s first luxury integrated marina-resort and Phuket Yacht Haven. Andy’s maritime expertise is underpinned by extensive seagoing experience commanding motor and sailing vessels across Southeast Asia, with time spent in the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. He holds a Master Class 4, Yachtmaster Offshore, and multiple professional certifications, together with Certified Marina Manager (CMM #160) and current Certified Marine Professional (CMP) status with qualifications in business and management. Recognised for collaborative leadership, strong commercial judgment, and enduring relationships across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, Andy is committed to driving sustainability, innovation, and professional excellence in the superyacht industry.
